Artist and Co-founder of Passage Rock Wines, Veronika Evans-Gander, has created some beautiful art pieces and sculptures around the restaurant at Passage Rock as well as featuring in Waiheke Community Art Gallery and popular sculpture exhibitions such as Sculpt Oneroa. Her use of meaningful symbols and organic materials, she is able to fabricate pieces that will connect you to the nature and energy of the land. Veronika specifically chooses to only work on her art when she has a positive loving energy in order to let that flow into the artwork and ultimately pass this energy/loving intention that went into the art to the eyes that gaze upon it. “My art is a celebration of nature, self-discovery, and connection. I’m deeply inspired by the natural world and believe in sustainable practices. I find joy in experimenting with different materials and techniques, often incorporating elements like Harakeke (flax) and repurposed objects. My goal is to create artwork that evokes positive emotions and invites viewers to connect with their own essence. Through my work, I aim to share a sense of peace, joy, and appreciation for the beauty of life.”
