We are Reopening!

Passage Rock Wines is excited to announce our grand return for the 2024 season! We recently had the pleasure of reintroducing our 2 chefs, Emilio and Martina – an Argentinian couple passionate about the art of nouvelle cuisine.

As one of Waiheke Islands’ best winery restaurants, we have been working hard to prepare the restaurant and kitchen for peak presentation for the reopening of Passage Rock Restaurant.

Emilio and Martina have fabricated a catalog of taste sensations that “should not to be missed” during your stay on Waiheke.

Try our new “wine pairing appetizer”. Presented as 4 separate flavour bombs on a traditional Totora wine barrel slat, our wine appetizer includes a flavour quartet starting with our Truffle Cheesy Puff, our Miso Baked Oyster, then a beautiful Salmon Tsukune, and  Beef Tartare. Pair these with Waihekes most awarded, Passage Rock Reserve Syrah or a glass of our finest Chardonnay, and you’re up for one of Waiheke Islands most exceptional tasting experiences.

 Additionally, we have our test kitchen set menu. This includes five courses of innovative cuisine providing an insight for what is to come of our summer menu. The flavor journey starts with our house made Sourdough Bread, followed by Coconut Cured Salmon, Confit Mushroom Skewers, then finishing with the Lamb Rump main, and finally the magic, Tirami Choux dessert, which might i add was extremely well recieved. One group of our guests had it for lunch on Friday, and thought it was so good they had to come back and experience the creamy delight again on Saturday. Delicious!
